Apell Wins Castle Lite Monthly Mug

Entebbe Club, the oldest in East Africa also had its artisan golfers and 12 professionals to spice up the monthly tournament that is held at the end of each month with the grand finale expected in December when they crown the lady and male golfer of the year. Michael Tumusiime, playing off handicap 5 was the best in Group A with 67 net while Denis Onyango, handicap 79 net was runner up in this group.

The monthly tournament is sponsored by Nile Breweries under their popular brand Castle Lite. Renowned lawyer David Nambale, (handicap 12) claimed Group B with 71 net on count back with Greg Patterson (handicap 15) with a similar scoreline finishing runner-up. Handicap 25 player Jacob Byamukama was winner Group C winner with 72 net while Alex Nkuyahaga (handicap 21) was runner up with 75 net.

Home based and national lady golfer Irene Nakalembe playing off handicap 5 was the ladies winner with 71 net. Handicap 30 player Pamela Tumusiime was runner up with 74 net. In the senior category David Scanlon handicap 13 with 77 nett was the winner in this group while the guest winner was handicap 15 Patrick Kagurusi with 76 net. In the artisan and professionals category the winning side with 226 gross was made up of Silver Opio with 70 gross others were Herman Mutebi, 72 gross and Mackie Nasser with 84 gross.
