Kemisi and Angudeyo, win Chairman’s Cup

Out of the 216 amateur golfers, Lugazi based golfer Lutajani Kemisi, also a seasoned comedian and Arua golf Club’s Wendy Angudeyo emerged winners in the Men’s and ladies category with 40 and 47 stable ford points.

Collins Ajidra beat Timothy Okwi on count back to top Group A. Ssubi Kiwanuka and Patrick Kagoro topped Group B and C with 39 and 37 Points stable ford points.

Peace Kabasweka and Rita Akot Apell emerged Group A and B Winners in the Ladies category with 32 and 36 stable ford points respectively.

Phillip Kasozi emerged winner in the pros category with a total of 148 points after playing a total of 36 holes on Friday and Saturday. Ronnie Bukenya aka Ronnie King and Vincent Byamukama both finished in second position with identical result of 149 points while Fred Wanzala finished in third place with a total of 150 points.

Several professional and amateur golfers failed to sink a hole in 1 on the 9th hole to claim USD 88,000 worth 4X4 Grand Jeep Cherokee grand prize that had been staked by tournament sponsors AfriSafe.

This was the 9th edition that attracted a total 216 Amateur golfers and 27 professional golfers with all participants play with 4 clubs only.
