Over 100 Golfers ready for the Entebbe Golf Tourney

All is set ahead of the dawn of the 10th edition of the Entebbe Open golf championship Where a field of 200  golf players including 20 gross players and 33 professionals are expected to bask in for a three-day tournament that sets off on 1st October 2018

“The Entebbe open was first played ten years ago and over the years it has continued to evolve. In the initial years, it was a net event but has gone on to attract top amateur golfers from the region” Entebbe club captain said

“In 2014, the overall winner was Nelson Simwa from Kenya who is now a professional playing on the Kenyan pro circuit and the region.”

This year’s defending champion Ronald Rugumayo, the Uganda open champion 2017 who returned 70 on day 1 and 80 on day for a total of 150 gross to be declared the Entebbe open champion 2017 will be unable to defend his amateur title since he has since joined the paid rank (Professionals).

In the professional’s category, home boy Vincent Byamukama was last years champion  as he returned the best scores to claim the professional’s prize after returning 69 on day one and 73 on day two for a total of 142 gross.

At stake is a prize kitty of ugx 10 million  for the paid rank whose winner will smile home
